Confirmed: Prusa will be raising prices. You’ll pay an extra $200 for the Core One L.

That there is a price war in the field of 3D printing is nothing new. Everyone is trying to sell as cheaply as possible while maintaining quality. It is very unusual for a 3D printer to significantly increase in price. However, this question has now been raised by one innocent tweet also referencing a Danish e-shop. Prusa Core One L is expected to increase in price by 250 USD. But is it true?
Update: Higher price for Prusa Core One L confirmed. The price will increase by 200 USD.

Update

The official Twitter profile of Prusa3D has confirmed what I hinted at in an article three weeks ago (March 15, 2026). The price of the Prusa Core One L 3D printer will indeed increase. The price will rise by 200 USD, which could mean an increase of four to five thousand crowns for Czech buyers.

Want to save money?

If you want to save this substantial amount, you only have a few days. The price increase is planned for April 7, 2026. Orders placed before this date will be at the original price.

There could be several reasons for this price increase – unavailability of parts, tariffs, rising prices of basic components.

One tweet with a few dozen views, but with interesting informational value.

Johan shared a tweet with an attached screenshot from the Danish e-shop 3do.dk. The screenshot shows a notice from the e-shop that starting March 16, the price of the Core One L, the latest 3D printer from Prusa Research, will increase by 250 EUR.

The current price on the Czech e-shop is 39,990 CZK without any upgrades. The delivery time is 4-5 weeks.

An increase of 250 EUR would mean more than a 15% increase for Czech customers. There could be several reasons for this price increase – unavailability of parts, tariffs, rising prices of basic components.

But is it true? We will probably find out on Monday 🙂 I couldn’t find the news about the price increase on the website. Only Johan’s screenshot is available, but isn’t this a so-called leak?

The Danish e-shop currently offers the Core One L for 11,616 kr, and on Monday (March 16, 2026), the price should be higher by 2,268.75 kr.

The price of 11,616 kr (Danish krone) corresponds to a price of 38,000 CZK, and the increase to 13,884.75 kr means an increase to nearly 45,500 CZK.
