The RIDEN adjustable power supplies are among the best that hobbyists can buy in this price range for home and semi-professional use. Excellent performance, compact size, updated and alternative firmware, support from the 3D printing community.
Now RIDEN is coming out with a truly fantastic model that you will want.
RIDEN and its model RD6006 (60V and 6A) and subsequently other versions with higher output currents, such as 6012 – 12A or 6030 – 30A, have quickly gained popularity among DIY enthusiasts and small businesses. The price-to-performance ratio is excellent, and I don’t just mean the raw power, but also parameters like output voltage ripple.
RIDEN offers two branches of adjustable power supplies – RD and RK. The RD version is larger and includes available variants such as RD6006 (60V and 6A), RD6012, RD6018, RD2024, and 6030 (60V and 30A).
The RK version is smaller, fits on any desk, and is available in a single variant, RK6006 – 60V and 6A.
The RD family of power supplies is expanding with the model RD6012H, and the H is very important.
RD6012H
- Input voltage: 6 – 70 V DC
- Output voltage: 0 – 60V DC
- Output current: 0 – 12A
- Output voltage measurement accuracy: 0.3%+30mV
- Output current measurement accuracy: 0.5%+5mA
- BUCK-BOOST mode
Specifications of RIDEN power supplies

BUCK-BOOST Mode
Behind these two words lies significant progress. Until now, all power supplies were only BUCK – or also known as step-down, in Czech a switching buck converter, which reduces voltage from a higher input to a lower output.
BUCK-BOOST is a mode of the switching regulator that can create both lower and HIGHER voltage from the input voltage.
This means that with one adapter, for example, 24V, you can generate 5V, 12V, 24V, 36V, and even 60V, as well as anything in between.
This eliminates a significant problem when you wanted to utilize the full range of the adjustable power supply, namely where to find an adapter with sufficient power and voltage.
Some people solved this by purchasing the power supply that RIDEN sells, while others opted for a more exotic solution – for example, connecting two 24V adapters in parallel.
With this variant, RIDEN RD6012H, it is possible to purchase the power supply alone without the adapter, box, and Bluetooth interface, or conversely, to buy these parts separately with this power supply.
The power supply is available on AliExpress (manufacturer’s store) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005010130354965.html
The price starts at $59.99 (without Bluetooth interface), and currently, the manufacturer has it priced over $12,000, so we have to wait 😀

Awesome, RD Tech has finally released the “big” RIDEN in buck-boost version. Ideal for a compact lab power supply on the desk, where you only need a small “brick” like 20V/5A and you can get up to 60V out of it. https://t.co/OxXLp8QUQL
